United States Hunter Jumper Association

The Arkansas Hunter Jumper Association is an affiliate of the United States Hunter Jumper Association (USHJA) which gives us access to additional awards, grants, and opportunities for our members.

Participation in this program has changed, and at this time, and no additional USHJA Membership needs to be purchased to be eligible for year-end USHJA Affiliate Awards. Please contact Shana Rawlings at srharmony@att.net with any questions about this program.

Jockey Club Thoroughbred Incentive Program

The Jockey Club created the Thoroughbred Incentive Program (T.I.P.) to encourage the retraining of Thoroughbreds into other disciplines upon completion of careers in racing or breeding. T.I.P. offers sponsorship for Thoroughbred-only classes and divisions, high-point Thoroughbred awards at open horse shows and competitions, year-end Performance Awards, a Thoroughbred of the Year Award, and a Young Rider of the Year Award.

For more information and to see if your Thoroughbred is eligible, visit www.tjctip.com.

The Arkansas Hunter Jumper Association offers classes and awards for the Thoroughbred Incentive Program. Starting in 2019, AHJA will run these classes in their own divisions, instead of running concurrent with the regular divisions as we did previously. The fee for TIP classes will be $15 per class.

For the 2021 show year, AHJA will offer TIP classes in the following divisions:
2' Thoroughbred Hunter Division
2'6" Thoroughbred Hunter Division
2'6" Thoroughbred Jumper Division.

You must supply a copy of your horse's TIP number to the AHJA show secretary in order for your Thoroughbred to be eligible for this program. No points will be accrued or applied until the number has been provided.
